Webcasting and Events Team Update 2025
MUFG Corporate Markets’ Events and Webcasting team, delivered more than 700 events across the year: including results announcements, investor days and AGMs. The location of these events is consistent with previous years seeing 87% of all events and meetings located on the east coast, showing similar trends to 2024.
In 2025, our Events team continued to see clients include a virtual component to their AGM, with many clients choosing a webcast to complement their physical meeting, demonstrating that issuers and shareholders continue to see the value of being able to engage in annual meetings remotely.
Conference calls continue to be the technology of choice by issuers when delivering their results announcement, with 88% of events we ran utilising a telephone line. Specifically at AGMs, we saw most issuers prefering a web phone solution to a traditional shareholder line.
With another busy year completed, the team have shared some of their key learnings, including seeing some clients miss out on their preferred venue choice. This not only meant compromising on the room itself, but also left many needing to engage with audio visual partners who were not experienced in delivering complex AGM solutions.
Here are a few of our tips to ensure your event is the best it can be:
- Engage with our teams early to assist with site visits and run sheet preparation.
- For larger events or those with more complex technology requirements, ensure technical tests and rehearsals take place the day before your event.
- A dry run is invaluable for technicians and will help your executive team, from Chair to Company Secretary feel fully prepared.
